K-4  The children were in costumes so we learned the names of their character costumes in Spanish. We also talked about the names of clothing in Spanish.  To conclude the children heard the story,  Donde viven los monstruos.  (Where the Wild Things Are).

K-5  Children  learned how to say what they wear in Spanish. They heard a story in Spanish, Where the Wild Things Are. 

Grade 1 We learned vocabulary to describe clothing.  Students learned how to tell the name of their character costume in Spanish. 

Grade 2 We discussed clothing and costume vocabulary.  I also discussed El Dia de los Muertos and the way it is celebrated in Spanish-speaking countries and here in the US. 

Grade 3  Students were tested on their mastery of their new vocabulary, which can be found on the flashcards they created.  I encouraged students to student their flashcards daily. 

Grade 4  Students who did not complete their homework sentences did their assignment in class and have to complete their work at home.  We  are working with the two forms of "you" in Spanish.  The rest of the class received an activity sheet with a paragraph we will translate next week.  

Grade 5  Students continued working with the two forms of "you" in Spanish.  They did an excellent job.  I am so proud of our fifth graders and rewarded them with no homework since they are very responsible in returning assignments. 

Grade 6 Students  have a study sheet to acquire mastery of Spanish verb forms.  We will be studying all tenses of Spanish verbs in the coming weeks.
