K-3 Students heard part of the story about trucks since so many of them went to Touch-A-Truck on Saturday. I read the story in Spanish pointing to the various trucks and equipment and reading the passage that identifies them . The children also reviewed numbers and descriptions of our animals. They played a game to identify body parts in Spanish using a small colorful ball.
K-4 The children counted to forty today in Spanish and heard a story about trucks and equipment in Spanish. They do an excellent job answering basic questions about themselves.
K-5 We reviewed numbers and described animals entirely in Spanish. The children also answered questions about themselves, their age, their names, favorite animals, etc. We ended the class by practicing our song for graduation.
Grade 1 Students made a new book about professions. They also reviewed numbers to fifty and answered questions about themselves.
Grade 2 The children started learning how to talk about the location of common classroom objects. They received a paper listing vocabulary that can help them create sentences using the terms for twelve classroom objects.
Grade 3 Students were asked to create an oral sentence about selected objects in the classroom using their list of prepositions. They did an excellent job with this activity. I asked them to try to describe things at home and bring their work next week. It is an optional homework assignment since some students need more assistance.
Grade 4 Students read sentences from their homework assignment. I asked them to try to create descriptions using prepositions and rooms in their house. We will talk about their work next week. Some students need my assistance to do this assignment. I would like them to at least try to create a few sentences by themselves. It is an optional homework assignment, but I would love to have students try to give some descriptions of their rooms, the kitchen at their house, etc.
