Grades K-4 and K-5 learned a new song about members of the family.  We will be learning the vocabulary to talk about family members and activities in January.  They also learned a new song about feeling happy or sad.

Grade 1  Students prepared a vocabulary sheet with holiday terms.  They drew a picture for each word.

Grade 2  Students made a new bilingual book to take home.  It is about things that shine--las cosas que brillan.

Grade 3  Grade 3 also made the bilingual book about things that shine.  Each child read the story to me.  Students are doing so well in Spanish literacy skills.  I am very proud of them.

Grade 4  We discussed the meaning of Christmas, el espiritu navideno.  Students  received a list of vocabulary associated with the holidays to take home.  There are about thirty words on the list.

There is NO homework.  Have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year's Day holiday.
