Dear 5th and 6th Grade Parents,
                 I explained in detail the use of the verb ser in Spanish.  I distributed a sheet listing 21 professions in English  and their Spanish equivalents. Students began the homework assignment.  It is due on Friday.  Most students had completed or attempted Monday's assignment. I wil collect both today's and last Monday's work on Friday.  I am going to distribute a dialogue on Friday  which will be due on December 12th   Students do NOT have to work on it next week.They will have two weeks to work on the new dialogue.   Next week is a time for family and friends and for reflecting on the many blessings we have.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Note:  We corrected the sentences with ser in class. I would like the students to keep the homework until the 12th.  At that time I plan to use students' sentences relating to professions for a mural we will complete in class.  If students wish to begin gathering photos from magazines showing different professions listed on the worksheet, they may do so.  Please have students bring pictures on Friday the 12th. Thank you. Again this is NOT  a homework assignment for Thanksgiving week, but for the two weeks that follow.
