Grade K-3 had a fun time today responding to descriptions in Spanish about twelve stuffed animals and their locations about the room. I am so pleased at how well the children in all three K-3 classes understand Spanish! Listening is a very important part of learning a language, including a child's first language. I am going to continue this activity using other vocabulary including common classroom objects, food, family members, toys, and community workers.
The children also sang songs and reviewed numbers to ten and twenty.
It is my pleasure to teach our K-3 children. They are so receptive to learning Spanish. Thank you for your cooperations and interest in our program at SJDS.
Have a great spring break next week.
Miss Linda
