Wednesday, November 4.

Grade 5 took their essay test in class today  When they  finished, we read about Pamplona and the famous Corrida de toros,  The Running of the Bulls.  Students received a list of eight questions to answer.  Most students finished the questions in class.  We will discuss their answers next week and talk more about Pamplona.  There is NO homework for students who finished the questions in class.  Homework is to finish answering the questions for discussion next week.

Note:  Students MAY prepare a report/poster about Pamplona.  Many students asked if they could have a homework assignment!  I am so pleased that they wanted MORE work.  I give homework every week, but decided to reward students in fifth grade who have worked so very hard these  first nine weeks.  Therefore, I would love to have fifth graders prepare a report on Pamplona if they so desire.  It is NOT mandatory for next week.

Grade 6  Five students were recognized for high achievement in Spanish grammar.  They received a special folder as a reward  One student had a perfect score of 100.  He received a notepad and a special folder.  Students were given their tests back.  We discussed their errors.  There will be a retest for those students who  did not receive a 70 or above.  That will take place next Wednesday, November 11.

6th grade took their essay test in class.
They received the informational sheet about Pamplona.  All questions must be answered by next week for classroom discussion.  That is the homework  We will discuss the project I would like students to do for Pamplona next week in class.

Have a great weekend.  I can't wait to grade the essays!
