Monday, November 9.

K4 reviewed weather terms, days of the week, months of the year, and basic questions about themselves.  The children heard a story about opposites with really fantastic illustrations!

K-5 Children also reviewed weather expressions, days of the week, and months of the year.  Most children can name the months of the year in Spanish!  I also read a story about opposites to the class. K-5 students can answer many basic questions about themselves in Spanish!

1st Grade Students asked and answered questions entirely in Spanish!  We also reviewed weather expressions, days of the week, months of the year, and colors.

2nd Grade  Students reviewed their questions and answers from last week.  The questions emphasized basic questions about the months of the year.  Students had the opportunity to ask as well as answer questions in Spanish.  Second graders are doing very well in oral language and reading simple sentences in Spanish.

3rd Grade  Third Grade shared their homework assignment.  I recorded the homework and asked students to take their work home to complete the new homework assignment for next week.  Students need to compose ten sentences telling what they like to eat and ten sentences telling what they do NOT like to eat.  They copied the model sentences in class.  Me gusta comer________(name of food in Spanish).  No me gusta comer_________(name of food in Spanish).

4th Grade  Students presented the new dialogue in class.  They need to substitute circled words in the dialogue with words from the handout I gave to their teacher to distribute to them.  It is due next week.

Have a great weekend!  I can't believe how quickly these three months have passed!

                                                              Atentamente,

                                                           Srta. Linda
